VistaraWave
Your data

Data deletion instructions

Effective October 24, 2026

You can remove VistaraWave's access to your social accounts, and have the data we hold deleted, at any time. This page explains every way to do it and what happens next.

1. Disconnect an account in VistaraWave

This is the quickest way, and it works the same for every network.

  1. Sign in to VistaraWave.
  2. Open Settings, then Connected accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to remove and choose Manage, then Disconnect.
  4. Confirm. If posts are still scheduled for that account, VistaraWave asks you to cancel or move them first, so nothing is left waiting to publish.

What happens straight away: VistaraWave asks the network to cancel its access where the network allows that, deletes the account's access tokens from our database, and stops publishing to or reading from that account. Your own drafts and the record of what was published stay in your workspace unless you ask us to delete them. Data we received from YouTube for that channel is deleted within 7 days.

You need permission to connect accounts in your workspace to do this. If you do not have it, ask a workspace admin, or email us.

2. Remove VistaraWave in a network's own settings

You can also remove VistaraWave from the network's side, even without signing in to VistaraWave. Networks rename their menus from time to time; if a step does not match what you see, look for a section about apps, connected apps or permissions, or email us and we will disconnect the account for you.

Facebook

  1. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  2. Open Business integrations (direct link: facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools). If you connected a personal login instead, open Apps and websites (facebook.com/settings?tab=applications).
  3. Select VistaraWave and choose Remove. Facebook may offer to also delete posts VistaraWave published; choose that only if you want those posts taken down.
  4. To ask for your data to be deleted as well, send the data deletion request Facebook offers for removed apps. See deletion requests through Meta.

Instagram

  1. In Instagram, open Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. On the web, go to instagram.com/accounts/manage_access.
  2. Under Active, select VistaraWave and choose Remove.
  3. If your Instagram account was connected through its Facebook Page, also remove VistaraWave from Facebook's Business integrations, as above.

Threads

  1. In Threads, open Settings, then Account, then Website permissions.
  2. Select VistaraWave and choose Remove.
  3. Because Threads uses your Instagram login, you can also remove VistaraWave from Instagram's Apps and websites page.

Google (YouTube and Business Profile)

  1. Open Google's security settings page at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions (in your Google Account, under Security, then Third-party apps and services).
  2. Select VistaraWave.
  3. Choose the option to delete all connections with VistaraWave, and confirm.

TikTok

  1. In the TikTok mobile app, go to Profile and tap the menu in the top corner.
  2. Tap Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then App and service permissions.
  3. Select VistaraWave and tap Remove access.

LinkedIn

  1. On LinkedIn, select Me, then Settings & Privacy, then Data privacy.
  2. Under Other applications, open Permitted services (direct link: linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services).
  3. Find VistaraWave and choose Remove. This disconnects your profile and every Company Page you connected with your login.

X

  1. On X, open Settings and privacy, then Security and account access, then Apps and sessions, then Connected apps (direct link: x.com/settings/connected_apps).
  2. Select VistaraWave and choose Revoke app permissions.

Pinterest

  1. On Pinterest, open Settings, then Security and logins.
  2. In the list of apps with access to your account, find VistaraWave and choose to remove or revoke its access.

What happens next

  • Facebook, Instagram and Threads tell VistaraWave automatically when you remove it. We delete the access tokens and disconnect those accounts as soon as the notice arrives.
  • Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and Pinterest do not notify us. The next time VistaraWave tries to use the access, usually within a day, the network refuses it. VistaraWave then marks the account as disconnected and tells your workspace admins. We delete tokens that no longer work, and the YouTube data we stored, within 30 days.

3. Automatic deletion requests through Meta

When you remove VistaraWave in your Facebook, Instagram or Threads settings, Meta lets you send VistaraWave a request to delete your data. You do not need to contact us. Here is what happens:

  1. Meta sends VistaraWave a signed request that identifies your account. VistaraWave checks Meta's signature, so only genuine requests from Meta are accepted.
  2. VistaraWave deletes the access tokens for every Facebook Page, Instagram account or Threads profile you connected with that login, and disconnects them, so nothing more can be published to or read from them. The account names, pictures and numbers we received from Meta for those accounts are deleted within 30 days.
  3. VistaraWave gives Meta a confirmation code and a link to a status page. Meta shows you both.
  4. Open the link at any time. The status page says "Your data has been deleted" and shows the date and time we deleted it, how many connected accounts were disconnected, and your confirmation code.

Keep the confirmation code. If you have a question about your request, email hello@vistarawave.com and quote it. We do not need any other details from you.

4. Delete your VistaraWave account or workspace

To delete your own user account, or a whole workspace and everything in it:

  1. Email hello@vistarawave.com from the email address on your VistaraWave account, with the subject "Delete my data", or send the form on our contact page with "Delete my data" chosen and that email address filled in. Say whether you want your user account deleted or the whole workspace. Only a workspace admin can ask for a whole workspace to be deleted.
  2. We reply to confirm the request came from you.
  3. We disconnect every connected account, delete all tokens straight away, and delete the rest within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed within 90 days.

We keep only what the law requires, such as billing records, and a short record that the deletion happened.

5. If you are not a VistaraWave user

If you appear in content a business created or published with VistaraWave, that business controls the content, so contact it first. You can also email us at hello@vistarawave.com, and we will pass your request to the business and help it respond.
